Homebuyers: Three Tips to Make Your Offer Stronger

Low inventories for homes across the United States have created a seller’s market. When the supply of homes on the market is low and the demand is high, prices rise and buyers often have to compete against one another.

How do you win when there are multiple offers on the table? A home that’s in good shape and priced right will have homebuyers vying for it within days…;Read More

Home Prices Continue to Climb as Buyers Compete for Scarce Listings

Keep Your House Plants Alive!

Houseplants are often the bane of busy people. Unlike pets, they have no voice to plead for a drink of water or food. They cannot crawl out of their crowded pots or move to a sunny spot. Completely dependent on our care, they seemingly thrive for a week or two before suddenly dying.

So what can you do to keep your houseplants alive and growing? Follow these simple tips that will make your plants happy enough to produce chlorophyll (the green pigment), stand up straight, and maybe even force out some flower budsRead More

My town house was located in the city of Sycamore, Illinois (30 miles northwest of Downers Grove, just before the earth becomes flat and you fall off!) My fiancee, a real estate attorney said I should list with Lisa Wenzel, she would be the best for selling my place. I said, “Lisa who!?!” I always went with the local Realtor from town because they know the area. I was informed (told that I was an out of touch old fart) that times have changed and internet real estate marketing had arrived. Therefore, I needed Lisa Wenzel and her team to sell my place. Lisa came out fully prepared with comps of townhouses that had been sold in my complex. I was on my HOA board so I already knew the area prices and she was spot on. Lisa explained her market strategy, both tech and traditional to sell my place. I was very impressed with her knowledge of the area and we quickly came to a listing price to sell my unit at a fair, competitive price. My place sold within one week of going on the market. Lisa and her team did one open house on a Saturday and blitzed the internet market with my listing. I got my price and introduced to the new way of selling/buying houses!
Thanks to Lisa and her team for a first rate experience! You’re the Best!!!

Four Signs It’s Time to Remodel a Bathroom

;

A bathroom remodel is one of the most common home improvement projects, and for good reason; a bathroom remodel can be as simple or as complex as a homeowner desires, and the work is contained to a small area of the home. Here are a few signs that your bathroom could use a remodel:

Leaking: Dripping faucets or pipes caused by old fittings or worn out sealant not only waste water but may even cause water damage to your home over time. Prevent potential home maintenance issues by replacing old fixtures with sleek modern fixtures that will give your bathroom style and conserve water. Fixtures are easy to install, which makes this project a good starting point for a bathroom remodel… Read More
